Did you know that 7% of all video views today are online? Resources predict that will increase to 34% by 2013. Yes, there are definitely more eyeballs online…however there are also a lot more videos, (8 hours of video content is uploaded onto YouTube every minute!) and viewers are picky as to where they spend their time. What does that mean for you? It’s time to get over your fear and get in front of the camera!

You MUST be able to CONNECT with your audience in the first 8 seconds or you will lose them for good.
You MUST have a clear message with great delivery
You MUST know how to produce a great looking video no matter where you are.

The best way to be great on camera is to get in front of the camera!

Some of the things you’ll learn in the “Become Your Own Host” bootcamp:

- How to connect authentically with your audience.
– Learn how to write your own copy.
– Learn how to work and interact with a guest
– Learn how to work with a teleprompter.
– Learn how to service/showcase a product while incorporating YOUR personality.
– Learn how to dress, move and make an impact with your audience.

You will walk away with a professional welcome video that you can use right away to build your business and brand online! The workshop helps tremendously with stage presence and you will be able to confidently start creating and uploading your videos with confidence.

Check in for bootcamp begins on Friday June 8th at 10 a.m. Class lasts until 5 p.m. and continues on Saturday, June 9th at 10 a.m. and runs til 5 p.m. On Saturday, you’ll dress up and look your best (we will have a hair and makeup artist there) as the workspace transforms into a television studio. You’ll read from a teleprompter with a professional sound/light/camera crew in front of a white screen. You will be filming on Saturday afternoon so depending on when you film you could be finished anywhere from 2:30-6:00pm.You can use the segments you film as either a guide for what you need to work on or you can use them right away on your website, Youtube, etc.

When you’re done with this weekend, you will have an extremely helpful bag of tricks that will allow you to stand out among the thousands who are creating videos daily.

before you, and it’s for ALL of us to share!

You’ve probably heard me talk about my personal dream, what
drives me each and every day. Through my speaking, hosting, coaching and now
through InspiredLiving.TV, I strive to empower others to Dream, Live and Be all
one another, and now I invite all of you to join me there!

One of the features of InspiredLiving.TV I’m really excited
about is the original content from experts in several different areas,
including business, relationships, health and fashion. And speaking of fashion,
check out the first post from personal stylist and fashion guru Allison Jones and hear her perspective on merging your passions with fashion!

regardless of where you are on your journey, you will help to inspire and
educate others in our community.

Finally, I’d like to thank those of you who have been so
supportive and encouraging of me as I’ve worked to create InspiredLiving.TV. I

“We can all reprogram our brain’s responses by putting ourselves into new, initially uncomfortable situations. We’ll learn fear might not mean ‘stop’; I’ve come to believe fear usually means ‘go.’”- Frances Moore Lappé

Getting yourself into an uncomfortable situation is probably the thing you dread the most. And of course, because that’s a natural response! It’s not very likely that you thought to yourself, “Today I am going to put myself in an uncomfortable situation.” The very thought of it might bring up fears that make you throw up your hands and go running for the nearest exit!

But here’s the interesting thing. Fear is OK! Fear is natural. But you can reprogram yourself and your responses to these fears by changing your thought patterns. Fear is not always a bad thing…however it is the thing that holds us back from ever accomplishing what we want. When we face our fear life happens.

Getting out of our comfort zone is scary…trust me I know! But if we don’t experience the initial discomfort then we will never feel the sense of pride and accomplishment once we do it! Oprah talks about that fear before she decided to start “OWN,” the newly-launched Oprah Winfrey Network. That fear literally grabbed hold of her one morning, but then she asked herself the life-altering question, “What would I do if I was not afraid?” She knew she would start a network…and that is exactly what she did.

Today I challenge you to change the way you think about the thing that scares you. If you weren’t afraid, what would happen? What could happen? Change the way you think, strip your fears of their power over you, and let your dreams take flight.

Shine ON!!

Today you might don some sort of scary or funny concoction
to get into the Halloween spirit. I dressed up myself for a great Halloween
party this weekend and it was a blast. It’s so much fun to wear a costume and
play around like you’re someone else for one night.

But I have noticed though that each day many of us fail to
shed our metaphorical costumes and insist on pretending to be something or
someone that we are not. Are you trapped in a “costume” that prevents you from
being free to be who you really are? Who you really want to be? Is this holding
you back from creating and living the life you have deep down imagined for
yourself?

I know there can be a myriad of reasons why you need to
cling to the shell you may be hiding behind. Safety, comfort, fear, doubt –
they are all valid feelings. But if you’re an artist trapped inside the costume
of a retail associate, or a writer who’s pretending to be a salesman, just make
sure you’re not putting off developing yourself, your talent and your life
because you are being something that you think you’re expected to be. Or what’s
the safe thing to be. You CAN live a life of passion, creating a living by
following your dreams. If you can Dream it, then you can Live it and BE it!

Go ahead, break out the neon wigs, fangs, old disco attire
or whatever great costume you come up with for Halloween. But don’t forget that
on the other 364 days of the year, the best gift for yourself is to be
authentic!

ShineON!!

“People will hate you, rate you, shake you, and break
you. But how strong you stand is what makes you. ~ Unknown

It’s a fact of life. Not every one is going to like you or
your new fabulous idea. Sometimes those around you can be unsupportive,
negative or downright vindictive. So what do you do when someone doesn’t like
you?

A friend of mine recently shared with me a hurtful
experience she had with a former employer. Let me first tell you that this
woman is not only kind and pleasant, but goes out of her way to be friendly to
everyone. She was very excited about a new job, but after a short time working
with the new employer, she was let go without notice because, in their words,
“you can’t teach nice.”

This was especially hurtful because she knows that it’s
simply just not true. But after feeling her way through this personal hurt, she
found the motivation she needed to finally pursue her dream of starting her own
design business. Talk about finding opportunity in the face of adversity!

What I told her and what I’ll tell you is to stand proud in
who you are! Try not to give negative people power over you or your life. If
there’s something to be learned from the situation, then evaluate it and make
note of how you can do better in the future. Otherwise let it go and keep BEING
all that you are. The higher up the ladder you go the more people will want to
see you fall…just keep your head up!

ShineON!!

to help you Dream, Live, and Be all that is possible in your life…and that
includes each other.

“The purpose of man is to live, not to exist.” – Jack
London

In these Inspired Living weekly newsletters we talk a lot
about dedicating ourselves to our goals and devising a plan to bring that dream
to life. But what happens when the goal you are intent on achieving may mean a
major paradigm shift in your life? Depending on the scope of your goals, you
might be faced with some major life choices, like leaving a job or moving to
another city. (Trust me, I’ve definitely
been there!)

Sometimes we’ve just got to take a leap of faith. BUT,
before you jump off that cliff, make sure you are listening – truly listening –
to your heart. In this instance, it’s critical that you learn how to distinguish
between your true instinct and what may be nervousness or anxiety of the
unknown. Big changes can be scary, and they can leave you feeling uncertain and
questioning your goals. It’s the process of making sure your head is aligned
with what your gut, and your heart, and that both are telling you how to
proceed.

It’s interesting though that the process of making major
decisions can also help to further clarify your dreams. Through this
experience, you may discover (and it may be a huge, shocking revelation) that
our path is ready to be altered, in a way that fits your current plan or in a
totally new way.

To create big things in your life you’ve got to be willing
to take big leaps, but never forget to take the time to make sure everything is
aligned – your head, your heart and your plan. You deserve every ounce of
happiness, and if it takes something major to get you there, don’t be afraid to
entertain the possibility, no matter how big it may be!

Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness
has genius, power, and magic in it. – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I think this has to be one of my favorite quotes. This
simple message is so powerful… you must begin it. Just beginning to take action
on your hopes and dreams puts them into action. And that action spurs more
action. Take that first step…that belief in YOU!

When I was in Hong Kong
last month running a training conference on platform and presentation skills,
there was one participant in particular who after day one did not return
because a fear of public speaking and quest for perfection paralyzed her. On
day 3 she found the courage to come back and as a result ended up having one of
the biggest breakthroughs of her life…and she proved to be a dynamic speaker!

We all have fears about stepping out and really claiming
what we want in life. We spend so much time worrying about the plan and having
to be perfect. Get over it! There is no such thing as perfection and like
anything else, plans change as quickly as they are made. Just start!
The rest will come.

I do believe that we all need a little guidance and support
to get on our way to achieving our dreams. Even I continue to reach out for it
in my personal and professional life as well. Therefore, I am offering you
something I have NEVER done before. Take note of this because this is a
one-time offer!

Rise up to the challenge today to BEGIN IT! Let me
congratulate those of you who are ready to take the step to begin a new chapter
in your lives by offering you a personalized coaching session, at a bargain
that will not be offered again. This special offer will be customized
specifically for you! I will share with you the tools and guidance you need to
jump start positive change in your life.

Only the first 6 people that email me at coaching@kerimurphy.com with the
subject line “Let’s Begin!” will be eligible to participate in this special

~ Nick Lowery

Dartmouth and Harvard educated Nick Lowery is a stand-out star in the NFL. He played for the New England Patriots, Kansas
City Chiefs and New York Jets, being selected to play in the Pro Bowl three times. When he retired, he was ranked first in field goal percentage and also had the most field goals in NFL history.

I recently worked with Nick at the Shadows Foundation chairty event. On our trip to Flagstaff, I took the time to talk to Nick about the hard work it took to get into the NFL. Proof again that if you truly have a dream and work hard enough, anything is possible.

Check out this week’s Inspired Living TV segment and ride along as Nick and I travel through the beautiful Sonoran desert and talk about his experience in the NFL and his work with the Nick Lowery Youth Foundation, and how all of us can do anything we really want if we are working at our highest purpose.

Shine ON!!

Reaching a goal big or small is something to be celebrated. And now you are most likely thinking…well, what next?

If you are a person who naturally sets goals then I bet you have another one lined up and ready to go. If not, you may find yourself a little unmotivated or uncertain as to what to do next. I would suggest you look at the bigger picture of your life vision.

Do you even have an overall vision for your life? A vision and mission is something corporations spend thousands of dollars and hours on creating, however for most people we live life in pure reaction mode instead of being proactive in creating the life we so desire. What is the big picture of the life you want to create for yourself? If you are uncertain, a great place to start is by creating a vision board or journal.

You have heard a picture is worth a thousand words, right? If that is true then think of what you are communicating to your unconscious mind by creating a visual of your ideal life. Einstein said that we are boxed in by the boundaries of our imagination. You most likely imagined your last goal coming to be, so why not take that to another level! Imagine the life you want to create in all contexts like health, love, finances, travel, family, spiritual, or business. When you have put that together look at it often with the intention of bringing it to life!

In addition to your vision board/journal I would write out everything you want to do throughout your lifetime. Think big and have fun! What are all the things you want to see, do and experience while you are here on Earth? Again, when you can imagine it you can create it! The only reason why people have accomplished big goals is because they believed they could. When Warren Buffet
was asked about his fortune he said he always knew he would be incredibly wealthy. He never doubted it for a minute. WOW! Now that is someone who sets a goal and goes after it and you can too!

Lastly, I would encourage you to think about what you want to leave behind long after you are gone. If you could create a legacy what would it be? This could be something big, like a foundation or a book, or it can be small but just as impactful, such as
teaching your kids something that was handed down to you. Whatever it is, allow that goal to be part of the tapestry of your life. You get what you give.

Shine ON!!

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment
that something else is more important than fear. ~Ambrose Redmoon

Recently I led a week-long workshop in Hong Kong on platform and presentation skills. It was exhilarating. You know what really inspired me on this particular trip is what can be accomplished when like-minded people come together. They push each other and
support each other in such a way that creates the best kind of stretching and growing.

There were a couple of people who after the first day did not want to come back. But they stuck with it and pushed themselves way beyond what was comfortable and then had the BIGGEST breakthroughs!! It was so awesome to see and be a part of. It was the acknowledgement of fear, then letting go of that fear, that got them to a higher place. There ARE things more important than fear! But you have to be willing to see and accept that there are greater things, and more important, than the fear itself.

This weekend I also had the pleasure to meet Amy Roloff, star of the TLC show “Little People Big World” and the driving force behind the Amy Roloff Charity Foundation. Talk about an inspirational powerhouse! To me, she embodies what Inspired Living is all about. She has recognized opportunity in the face of adversity, not letting anything stop her from going after her dreams and ambitions.

What might be possible in your life if you, like Amy or the folks at my seminar, had the courage to bring your dreams to life? The courage to say that there are more important forces in your life than fear, forces that can lead to greater opportunity and a different life? It’s not just a possibility, it can be your destiny, if you choose it!

Shine ON!!
